YMCA Lifeguard Full Certification Course

The widely accepted YMCA lifeguard course is leading the way in lifeguarding. The course is an intense, experiential, multimedia training. Successful guard candidates will have the skills and knowledge to perform rescues and to prevent aquatics accidents. Course includes lifeguard, CPR/PR-AED, First Aid and Oxygen administration certifications. Space is limited. Register in person or on-line. A prerequisite swim is required. Successful applicants need to be able to tread water without hands, swim front crawl, breaststroke, elementary backstroke kick and sidestroke.

Time: 9:00am-6:00pm
Location: Downtown
Cost: $200.00 Members, $225.00 Non-Members

Required pre-swim May 18, 6:00pm-7:00pm
Bring lunch or lunch money, swim suit, towel and water bottle.
Candidates must be 16 years old by last day or class. Proof of age required.

Summer Day Camp 2012

What are your kids doing this summer? Click here to find out how they could be swimming, exploring, learning and having fun at the Y's Summer Day Camp.  Six locations, 11 weekly sessions and tons of ways to be a kid!  For those enrolled in Summer Day Camp, Before and After Camp Care is provided at no additional charge from 6:30-8:30 am and 4:30-6:00 pm.  For more, go to the top of this page and choose from the drop-down menu: Y Programs / For Youth Development /  Child Care
